I've been able to get things working with the model of printer with built-in networking, but if I hook up the printer to a external printserver that knows about Rendezvous, it fails to connect with either Jaguar or Panther. The printer shows up in the Rendezvous browser, but clicking on it identifies the Printer Model as "Generic."

Using TildeSoft's Rendezvous Browser app, I'm able to see how each appear on the network, and the printserver does omit the usb_MFG and usb_MDL keys. The product key on each appear identical, and the only key that the printserver lacks is the pdl key, which the Rendezvous spec indicates will default to "application/postscript" which this printer isn't.

Thus, as I mentioned in my earlier message, I tried to add settings for kPMRendezvousConnection in my CreatePrinterBrowserModuleInfo() procedure, but no combination of those settings seems to allow me to indicate to the Rendezvous browser that I can connect to the printer.

Any further help you might give would be appreciated.

Thanks!
