In the ColorSync pane of the print dialog, Color Conversion can be

The tool tip for Standard indicates that setting will use the

Sounds like what I would expect.
The tool tip for In Printer says it will create "device
independent color for PostScript printer".
So, if I'm working on a CUPS raster printer driver (not
PostScript), what does the In Printer setting do? Or, have I
missed a setting in my PPD file that makes the menu choices more
appropriate for a CUPS raster printer?
The "In Printer" option only applies to PostScript printers. If you
are seeing that setting as selectable when the current printer is
not a PostScript printer, please report a bug and carefully
describe your configuration, including the PPD for the destination
printer.
Is there something in my PPD (or missing from it) that would be
triggering this? Since I just started working on it this morning,
it's quite likely I missed something. How does the OS determine if
the printer is PostScript or not?
