My CUPS driver depends on cgpdftopdf about implementation of
some print features (ex. 'Pages per Sheet' etc).
You should be aware that we've not documented the cgpdftopdf filter
and its implementation is subject to change, possibly breaking your
method of using it. If you need the functionality it supplies you
should be prepared to roll your own version of it.
I've found an error happened when printing some pdf file
from Preview on OS 10.3. (On 10.4, it worked fine.)
Some fonts (not all) are not embedded correctly
in the spooled pdf, so I can't render it.
Tha pdf spooled from application has font data properly,
but it losts some font informations after processed by cgpdftopdf.
Is this a bug, or is there any workaround to let cgpdftopdf
process font data correctly?
Sounds like a bug that has now been fixed.
Other built-in filters (cgpdftoraster etc) don't work
for my purpose unfortunately.
As I wrote above, the cgpdftopdf filter was not intended for use by
3rd parties.
I'm not sure what other information we can provide that might be of
help.
