However, reading the URL you kindly supplied, I tried the suggestion:

and now all is well:

donal> file klprPDE
klprPDE: Mach-O fat file with 2 architectures
klprPDE (for architecture ppc): Mach-O bundle ppc
klprPDE (for architecture i386):        Mach-O bundle i386

Thanks! It looks like this would be a necessary setting, but it doesn not seem
to have been sufficient.

After "clean" and "build", I still get only "ppc".
