I have been experimenting with this new API over last few days, to replace existing PICTwPS way of printing to postscript printers, and hope I can find answer to a couple of questions in my mind from this list.
1. As mentioned by other folks in this list, this API ignores print-to-file request. Is this a bug to be fixed? Before Apple fix that function, is there a way to capture the filtered file? I assume we could manually filter a PS file with pstops filter and output to disk. Anyone experiment it this way?
2. Driver setting of paper orientation (via PMSetOrientation)is not honored in printing to networked PS printers. But works fine with a non-PS local printer. Has anyone observed same behavior? Other driver features I tested so far works fine. To be clear the way we set driver features was not changed from previous solution of using PICTwPS.
Thanks a lot.
