Newer versions of Acrobat as well as other Adobe products create
their PostScript print jobs by generating the PostScript themselves
and submitting the results directly, without a print loop or spooling.
But this is only application specific, right? Or is it a standard that
all postscript should have the %%Pages comment and the developer can
then rely on the comment to be there always?
If the applications want multi-page printing to work, they must
provide DSC comments. Fortunately, most applications use the standard
print path...
