NeXTStep Kits

Hey, I was looking around on a site which had developer information for NeXTStep, and one of the things I noticed it spoke about was a Database kit framework. How come this kit was never moved over to MacOS X (rhapsody), and subsequently PB? This would be a great addition to the set of frameworks we already have. To use the kit (from NextStep), you would #import <dbkit/dbkit.h> , and have to link with a shared library called /usr/lib/libdbkit_s.a. Some of the objects defined include DBDatabase, DBRecordStream, DBRecordList, DBValue, DBExpression, DBQualifier, DBEntities, DBProperties, DBTableView, DBImageView, DBFormatter, DBTextFormatter, DBEditableFormatter, DBModule, DBFetchGroup, DBAssociation, etc.
I looked through the developer stuff I have for my MacOS X Server 1.2, and also (of course) through the PB developer stuff, and there was absolutely no mention of it. Looks like it never left the NeXT platform.
