It didn't occur to me initially, either, and probably wouldn't have at all except that I've done some hacking with the Objective-C runtime data structures. Whn I first read the post, I figured that an "ISA" was some CPU register I wasn't familiar with. Once I recalled the "isa" field, it seemed that the problem was more likely to be Objective-C gone wrong than some arcane assembler question. (But as long as an "ISA" is something that can change during program execution--doesn't *that* narrow down the possibilities?--any guess is as good as any other.)
