Ah! Ok, thanks for the clarification.
It shouldn't matter to me, I think, whether I use the old precompiled file format or the new, because all our stuff is in C. I'm just looking for a way to cut the compile times down one way or the other; we have not yet solved any precompiled headers issue with PB.
Is there a way to share the older precompiled file format files through PB?
If we use the options --load-pch and --dump-pch in scripts, they should get us to where we want to go? Are these things specific to PFE, the ppc-precomp format, or both?
I don't think I'd mind setting up a build script that uses pfe precompiled headers, but have PB-based work not use any, except for the primary application.
(Does the Xcode thing currently do the right thing here? If it does then submitting an enhancement request would probably be redundant...)
