I once tried using NSCursor in a Carbon app, but was unable to get
it to work. I ended up faking a cursor using a little overlay window.
I certainly have no inside information, but I'd say that in this case
you're almost certainly going to be fine using the deprecated
QuickDraw calls. If it's a concern the future safe thing to do would
be to add a runtime check and use the new API for Leopard (once
that's available).
