When you say you want to save a composition, what aspect are you saving? The inputs? the output image? The composition itself?

Binding usually refers to cutting out the controller of the MVC data pattern so that you can tie your model directly to the view. Is this what you meant by binding or are you trying to assign an action to the Save menu item by control dragging?
