Re: Issues with older .qcp files

After installing Tiger today I encountered a big disappointment. All my .qcp files were abolished as it seems. Which is no fun, since I started developing screen-savers after Apple sent me the first beta of Tiger. I can't bear the thought that all these hours were for the oven!

Does anyone have a solution to convert these files? I'm rather frustrated right now.

any help is largely appreciated!

The .qcp files were compositions generated by the prerelease version of Quartz Composer that came with Tiger Preview WWDC 2004. A lot of things have changed since then, including the file format, and we make no guarantee whatsoever to preserve compatibility between WWDC previews and final releases. It that case, converting .qcp to .qtz might still not make them open perfectly as some patches have disappeared and so on.

That said, if you send me your files directly, I'll try to find an old Quartz Composer release and see if I can convert them.
