Re: Composer file searches auto update possible?

I don't know what your programming prowess is like but could you build a QC-based cocoa app?

I'm finding lots of 'fancy' QC stuff online is hooked up together in elaborate meshes of connections, switches, and math patches only to do something that a 20 line Javascript or custom quickie QC-based app could do. Solely using QC, in my opinion, is great for doing quick one-off type things but elaborate stuff is still far easier when done in actual code.

I know something like fetching URLs and doing something sequential with the data seem easy up front, but when managing data structures you're pretty well exiting the focus area of QC's design philosophy (if I understand correctly). I can bet that data structures with any sort of lower level control will translate into a difficult task when working with a flow chart with one direction of processing, of which is solved by lazy evaluation.

On a related note for Pierre-Olivier:
Is there some way we can write our own QC patch in Objective C or C++?

I'm still trying to figure out a way to temporarily trigger the Search Signal of the initial folder images/spotlight search, but only once the entire slideshow has played as it seems there is no way to dynamically add URL's to the structure list while the composition is playing. Or am I totally missing something or a bunch of somethings here?

hmm . . .

Thank you for the suggestion. However, as soon as the LFO flips the Search Signal, the whole slideshow stutters and restarts. So, I tried to cue the "Search Signal" input using a
Math and Numeric Conditional patch connected to the Structure "count" (total number of files found), but I was not allowed to plug the Numeric Conditional "Result" back into the "Search Signal" on the Search.

That would create a closed-loop, and this is not allowed in QC.
