Re: "Hello world" and some beginner questions

Hi Pierre-Olivier,

thank you for your fast reply. :-)

Now I have first questions: How can I convert a .qtz file into a regular .saver file? Is that possible?

Just put the .qtz file in the Screen Savers folder of the Library folder of your account

That does already work of course. But is there a way to create a real ".saver"-file which cannot be opened by everyone?

Or do I need to have a big Mac OS X proramming knowledge for that? (I do usually work with VS.NET / C#, not with XCode... shame on me, I know ;-) )
Second question: Is it possible to use the "Image Downloader" for saving downloaded images locally (on the hard disk) except caching them in the video ram? My screensaver is loading the images after reading an rss feed on my web site which describe them. Everyone can upload new images, so that I would need a big graphic card for caching them.

No for security reasons, it is not allowed to save data on disk from QC

what a pity ;-)

One another question:
Is it possilble to order the open parameters of a screen saver (The settings, which can get adjustet by the user)?

Sebastian
