Re: qc not seeing some midi devices

I'm having a weird issue with midi devices and not sure whether to log it as a bug yet wanted
to see if anyone had seen something similar.

I have two midi devices, a Hercules DJ console which I use through Steim JunXion and works
fine with Quartz Composer. Then I have an Evolution X Session UC 17. The evolution is not
seen at all by Quartz Composer. When I attach it and run QC it only comes up with "port 1" "port 2" in
the controller list while with other applications it appears as "EV EX USB".

This controller works fine with Grid Pro, Midi Monitor, Midi Pipe etc so I know it's all connected
and working fine, QC is just not seeing it.

Make sure you start QC _after_ connecting the controller. What you are observing is curious as QC does not filter MIDI sources in any way.
