JavaScript Patch and Xcode

i was working on a simple xcode project today and noticed that every time i use a .qtz file that has the javascript patch, it will crash the application when using build and run in xcode. i thought it was just my glitch, but i can recreate the same thing using the QuartzComposer Player example app and opening a .qtz that uses a javascript patch.

the crash only happens in xcode, if i open up the compiled app by itself, i can open and use .qtz with javascript without any issues. has anyone else come across this or be able to recreate? i'm using xcode 2.0.
