Binding NSbutton in interface builder.

Sorry if this is a dumb question or in the wrong list but I am trying to bind a NSbutton to a QC composition. I have no trouble binding NSslider's , NStextField, or NSstepper etc. but seem to be unable to bind the button to enable or 'un-enable' effects in QC. It seem that the button wants some sort of True / False argument.
