Aw, well that is silly that the image block has a drag and drop tool to get the image in but not quicktimes,,...

I'm not sure what you are talking about: you can indeed drag & drop quicktime movies in the editor workspace and that will create automatically an Image With Movie patch pointing to the movie file.
