Bug or feature? It's really a showstopper for me...I need the data
onscreen to update while the composition runs continuously--or at
least once an hour. What we maybe need is a way to poke the RSS
Feed patch and say 'go get that data again.'
This is indeed a bug, certainly not a feature. There's no input on
the RSS feed to tell it to reload now, but you should be able to
achieve that by setting its input URL to nil, then back to the valid
URL.
Passing it the same URL doesn't seem to work. Passing it a
different URL and then back to the first one seems to, but is kinda
fragile.
Did you get that idea to work inside Quartz Composer?
Based on that idea, I build a macro that changes reset the URL of the
RSS Feed patch every N seconds.
