I try the tutorial on Quartz Composer Programming Guide (qc_howto.pdf). At page 42, before "Increase the Glow Effect", in the viewer, i have 2-3 fps on the rotating cube. I have an iMac G5 1.8 GHz GeForce FX 5200, but the OpenGL Info patch say this : "Core Image accelerated" : FALSE (the name for my video card is "NVIDIA NV34MAP OpenGL Engine" in the openGL Info patch). Why? iMac G5 is Core Image Ready. Is 2-3 fps a normal performance on iMac G5 ?

That is the correct behavior: the FX5200 can potentially support Core Image in hardware, but does not by default, as in many cases, rendering on the CPU gives better performances.
