Re: New Quartz Composer technotes!

As to the first technote, I can confirm that, as suggested, you can drag a .qtz file directly into iMovieHD. It will take a few moments to import, and will result in a 30 second clip. If the iMovie project is in a widescreen format, the clip will be distorted; for example, a sphere will appear squashed. By exporting as Quicktime from QC first, and specifying suitable dimensions such as 576x1024, the exported file will retain the proper aspect ratio in a widescreen iMovie project.

I have a couple questions;
Is there a way to implement anti-aliasing on patches such as the cube, which seems to have somewhat jagged edges? Is this simply due to limitations of the GPU? In this case, a 1GHz iBook (an 'unsupported configuration').

If one were to replace the graphics card in a G4/400 with an ATI Radeon 9000 (128Mb), would this provide a supported configuration? This is a machine which will not run a .qtz file, let alone compose one.

Many Thanks, David Connolly.
