Re: QCView and IB problem.

I realise now that the .qtx file is stored within the .nib (although
not obvious from docs), so now my basic problem is this.

1. Do a debug build of my app.
2. Copy the build app to another place
3. Clean All from Xcode
4. Run copy of debug app.
Boom! (as SJ likes to say :-)

This doesn't happen with Release builds, which lead me to believe that
the .qtx file wasn't being copied into the debug bundle (although I
now know that isn't true).

Crash log attached (and reported to Apple), but if I don't clean the
debug build before running the copy, I see from lsof that a file in
the build area is open, like:

.../Debug/CubeInvaders.app/Contents/MacOS/CubeInvaders
.../CubeInvaders.build/Debug/CubeInvaders.build/Objects-normal/ppc/ main.ob

The fist line is the running app, the second, a file from the
intermediate build area.

I'm now leaning toward "this is not a quartzcomposer" problem, but a
general issue with debug builds from xcode...

According the crash log you attached, the crash happens at application launch and has nothing to do with Quartz Composer. Try building Release instead of Debug - Debug version use Zero-Link and Fix and Continue, which may have side effects.
