I don't know if it's a bug or not - I'd suggest you wait a few days
to see if Core Image people had a chance to look at it and comment
(they monitor this list as well), and if nothing happens, just post a
bug. But make sure you simplify the composition to the minimum test
case as it helps debugging a lot.

Thanks. Pierre, do you think I should file this as a bug?

Hi Dan,
I got your message last time and tried your composition, and
sure enough it seemed to me it should have worked but didn't. You
might try hacking up your own posterize-esque Core Image Kernel
filter, but in the meantime I couldn't figure out how to make it
work or why it didn't, so didn't reply.

[Apologies if you have seen this before -- I thought I sent it,
but I didn't see it go through, nor any responses. Trying again.]
I have a simple composition in which I am trying to blur some
text, and then apply a posterization on the blur to make a
"bubble" around the text, to get an effect sort of like the logo
to Skype, <http:// www.skype.com/>.
I'm applying a gaussian blur to the text, then color posterize --
but it seems to have no effect.
Any ideas?
