Re: How simple of a project?





I learned Cocoa myself a few years ago with "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X", I found it a great book - but I wouldn't be able to tell how it compares to others:

Yeah, seconded on this one; Aaron's got a great approach. I'd say check out this one first, and then when you get the basics down, the Cocoa in a Nutshell from O'Reilly.

There was also a video I saw from WWWDC a few years back (2002?) that had the cocoa team describing the way Obj-c expects the calls, etc - sort of an intro video. It was really helpful - I've been a director user for 10 years so I understand heavy programming, but needed to understand the language; obj-c had a structure that was similar, but slightly different in a way that made it hard for me to grok. Once I saw this video I understood a lot more and could then read the code properly.

Is there any chance that apple would ever make the old wwwdc videos available for download at developer.apple.com, Pierre?
