My ambition is to load 2 graphics cards (7800s) into a Quad processor G5 and then tie content from many sources together using QC. This is just and exhibit it only has to look real.

I would like to know aswell if this is possible ? On the apple pci express architecture page i read ....

The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 graphics card occupies the 16-lane PCI Express slot and adjacent PCI Express slot. Maximum of one NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 or GeForce 7800 GT card per system.

D'oh!

You are correct it states that I need to use 6600 for multiple graphic cards. I think that is due to the 7800 being 16x and the other slots being 8 and 4x. I think the PCI express should still be able to use the card. The question becomes whether a 6600 running at max is as fast as a 7800 running at 8x. The disparity in speeds may mean I wouldn't be able to sync the cards using SLI(whatever that is). I will have to dig deeper on this aspect. I may put the higher resolution displays on the faster card. Will have to see.

Does this mean, one can only fit 1 7800gt in 1 g5 quad ?
Also looking for a manufacturer of nvidia cards for os x, in particular the 7800gtx 512mb.
I see them available through xfx, but only with win drivers.

I will have to go with whatever card gives me the most VRAM.

Thank you
