Re: Multiple cameras?

Hi all,

I have been working on an application that records stereoscopic anaglyph movies for a ma project I am doing. You can find the project here (on my new site!):

<http://www.daisyrust.com/2006/02/05/qc-stereoscopic-recorder-05/>

It is my first cocoa application and is indebted to the QCTV sample code.

I tried several solutions before getting here - and it was a joy that the grabber code would export the dual camera input from the QC view.

I have been using it as a project to test a number of cocoa programming techniques including implementing Apple Help, automatic software updates (using sparkle), producing universal binaries, etc...

There are a few issues with a number of things: - like the switch to red / green anaglyph from red / cyan produces images that are tinted yellow (probably a result of the blending mode).

I haven't tested the app on intel yet... it works on ppc 10.4.4

I want to add extra features - like dual full screen mode for the stereo-pairs, better recording controls, etc...

Please contact me / leave a comment if you would like the source code.

Regards,

Ian

Has anyone managed to feed video from multiple live cameras into a QC composition? If so, did you have to resort to writing some of your own CoreVideo code?

Been there, done that ;-) http://www.flickr.com/photos/bongoherbert/37707404/

It should work fine: just have multiple video input patches and select a different video source for each one

Oh, that is so unbelievably COOL!
