I am attempting to create a Quartz Composer project that does the
following:
- Stream live video from a DV camera in a floating window (done)
- Put the video into a nicely designed graphic (done)
- Have the rest of the screen darken but remain transparent (can't
figure out)
Here is a link to a screen shot of what I want it to look like.

Oh, and I want it to go full screen. I want to hit a key, have the
video come up with me talking and the rest of the screen fade back.
When I'm finished yaking, I want to hit a key and have it disappear.
(It would be really cool if I could also add a transition so it
dissolves in and out.)
I have tried it in Quartz Composer but couldn't get transparency to
work. I also read an online tutorial on how to use Xcode to "How to
make a full screen app" <http://cocoadevcentral.com/articles/
000028.php> but it's from 2001 and I'm sure things have changed.
I have gotten as far as adding the QC project to an Xcode project and
saving it as a stand alone app but no full screen and no transparent
background.
Any help would be appreciated.
