custom patches

Is it possible to build custom patches using Objective-C so that others can use it from within Quartz Composer?

The problem is that a colleague of mine wants to build a screensaver completely within QC, but we need to generate an image in a way that QC doesn't allow (image of a rendered web page). I can create an application that does this and feeds the rendered image to a QC View, however my colleague doesn't want to deal with any Objective-C code. He simply wants to use QC. QC includes a library of patches. Is it possible to create a custom patch in Objective-C and add it to that library? If so, how does one go about doing that? I haven't seen any documentation on how to add to the QC library of patches.
