Hi everybody - new to the list as I've just started using Quartz
Composer in a bit more depth than I have before.
I am trying to feed a rather large image to a QC composition, and
I'm surprised by the degradation that occurs while displaying the
image with a Billboard patch set to width 2.0:
In the example above the image dimensions are 431 wide by 5307.
The original image is available here:
Quartz Composer does not tile images when rendering them, so the
image has to be able to fit into the maximum supported texture size
on the video card: usually 2048 or 4096 on high-end cards. If it
does not fit, QC will rescale the image so that it does, and this
results in quality degradation
