Can you clarify this? I understood Core Image supports floating point
rendering on the graphics card but what you're saying is that Quartz
Composer only supports 8 bit textures so we can't use this capabililty.
This is really important to those of us who were hoping to do
profesional image manipulation using Quartz Composer.
I'll be filing a feature request very soon if this is really the case
that QC clamps all textures to 8 bit.
