Re: Color Depth



What if one uses QCRenderer to render to an existing OpenGL context allocated from a 64 bit or 128 bit float pixel format? From my preliminary testing, QC seems to render fine, but what's happening behind the scenes?

It will render fine, but QC textures will still be 8bits. The only case where you won't get 8 bits is when drawing the result of CI filters with a Billboard that has "Direct CI rendering" enabled.
