If you look in :

it says that there is no API for the QCPatchController. I still don't understand how the QCPatchController relates to the QCRenderer though. I can bind the QCPatchController to the AppController, but is the idea that the AppController will contain all of the QCRenderers, and 'map' the outputPorts to the renderers somehow?

Actually, that's right, the QCRenderer object is not KVC compliant:
only the QCPatchController is
I can't find a doc that describes QCPatchController's interface on
apple.com...  Is this a private class that you can only use in IB?
