right now i'm working
on a patch for an opera play
which just play's one movie
and on cue it fades to the nest
then again on cue to the next next
etc
i made the interface in max/msp
this is a short of my own bog patch
this is not exactly what you want
maybe you can go on with this one
with note 60 (quartz C5 but in real C3) i choose which movie to run
velocity 1 is move 1 vel 2 is 2 etc
note 61 is starting of stopwatch triggering the non-looping
interpolation to send time data to the movie,
interpolation start with 0 end at the number of duration of the movie
in time of duration of movie
interpolation at not looping so it stops at end
with note 62 it reset the movie (reacts on velocity higher than 64
this is also for the start trigger)
note 63 and 64 for second movie
note 65 and 66 for third movie
with note 67 i control the fading
made this quick qc patch for this mail haven't tested it ....

i am new on the list and have a question about dissolving videos.
---------------------------------------------------------------
here is the scenario:
-i have one quicktime movie playing blue content. this is the base video.
-then i have 3 other videos (Red, Yellow, Green), the active of
those 3 is choosen by random.
-i use MIDI to send notes to start transitions. my MIDI setup works
and i get working MIDI signals into QC. see my MIDI signal like a
key pressed to start a video transition and another key pressed to
dissolve back to the original video.

here what i want to happen:
the basevideo loops continuosly for ever.
when i send a MIDI signal (for example #C1) to QC i want to dissolve
from the base video to one of the 3 other videos and stay there.
when i send another MIDI signal (for example #C2) i want to dissolve
back to the base video and stay there.

my problem is that i cannot figure out how to dissolve back and
forth between the base video and the randomly choosen video.
it looks simple but it comes out quite complicated. so if any of you
could help me i would be very thankful.
