I have a project that collected an sms message, searched flickr with
the keyword, stored it in a mysql database, produced an rss feed that
then fed the results into a quartz composer patch... I hadn't decided
on the final form for the QC visual experience. Most of the work was
proof-of-concept for a larger project and it is documented here (not
fully), with sample code:

if this is too complex just let me know and I do it so that people
here themselves type-in the term they want to search and that the
images are displayed as a slideshow behind the rss text.
