Another way of creating a NSImage is through a NSBitmapImageRep, which you create directly from the CVPixelBuffer

I would like to try this. Is there a method in NSImage (like CIImage's +imageWithCVImageBuffer:) or some other function to create a NSBitmapImageRep from a CVPixelBuffer?
