No this is not practical, because the compositions will be made by
users, and I don't want to bother them. This would mean a zoom and x-
& y-offsets, and I prefer only one input (inputImage)...

I will go with the pixelbuffer approach for now.

It could be nice to expose more of QCRenderer internals for future
versions, to integrate it more easily into existing OpenGL pipelines.
Otherwise, very nice piece of software !

Yes, QCRenderer overrides the projection / modelview matrices

You could modify the composition so that it takes a "zoom" parameter?
