Quartz Composer's rendering doesn't *seem* to be affected by this
as the compositions still play when the menu is down. It's just the
act of opening or closing a menu that there is a delay. Closing the
menu seems to cause it to pause for 1.6 seconds or something.
However long that fade out is.
what configuration?
Dual 2Gzh G5. But it doesn't matter. The fade out duration is hard
coded into OS X. Ack! I meant 0.16 seconds. Not 1.6 seconds. Way for
me to misplace the decimal.
