but from a project i did i know it makes things much easier when all
rendering is run from the same display-link.
so i guess a good start would be b dowtins' suggestion;
controlling playback of all movies from one source/timer (external
timebase for all movies)
and then idealy also render frames, synced from the same display-link,
which might not work (?) with different/multiple video-hardware...(??)
like that, i used the tripple-head2go to accomplish what you want,
but then with just 3 screens..
...for any controllers in your composition - make its timebase -
external...
