does anyone knows how to do this through a xcode with a QC obejct?

Anyone would share code/files related to it?

I have some live video effects that I would love to use in the process
of making a podcast for example.

No that would be a different issue: the original question was about
recording a video input stream, not playing a movie file.

In your case, it might not work because the movie file you play on
the cube is using a relative path instead of absolute.
