no, not the same at all. this means turning a quicktime into a different codec which is no longer qc at all. eg playing a normal quicktime.

I was wanting to use qc as a dynamic 3d interface to a web app on the iphone. Which should be possible, since qc is supported in webkit and the iphone runs webkit.

qc can do enough interesting stuff for interesting interfaces even if it doesn't have any of the core image filters ported over, it would still let a lot of things be possible.

we can only hope, that leopard and/or a future iphone update might include it???
