forcing read qc files at higher res?

which leads me to my next question....

when a qc qtz file is imported in motion its defaulting to only rendering at 640x480. is there any way to force it to be rendered at a higher resolution without saving it as a quicktime

(well I can convert them to generators using FxFactory and then set the rendering resolution but again, seems there should be an easier way...)
