If your string is too long, the corresponding image will be greater
than the maximum texture size and QC Tiger scales down in this case.

bug. The crop is part of a patch used to scroll long text items in
a file browser. It's crucial to the project. I guess a work-around
would be to dynamically adjust the font size depending on the
