if you look at the dimensions of imageWithString's output image,
you'll notice the width will never grow larger than 2048 (depending
on your graphics card i guess), at which points the font starts to be
drawn smaller to fit these dimensions.
on an intel/mini, OpenGL Driver Monitor reports the following for
OpenGL Limits / Framebuffers :
i guess that's not really considered a bug.
