Re: Slow down a patch

Pat,

I'm guessing that you want REALLY straightforward.

Take your "interpolation" patch and put it on the screen.
Select it.
Press Command + 3 (reveals the "Settings" inspector).
Select "Customized Interpolation Curve"
Where you want progress to pause, make the line flat (horizontal). There are
X&Y numeric values you can set once you have a point on the curve. It may
take some tweaking and a few extra points on the line to get a "flat curve"
-- something that looks mechanical.
X is time and Y is the change of value between the limits you've set in
Start and End value.

In the "Input Parameters" inspector (Command + 2), you can choose a pop-up
for defaults on this curve. Linear is just what you'd expect -- play around
with the rest for wether you want fast in and slow out and the like.

But if you want it to pause, adjusting the custom interpolation curve is the
way to go -- otherwise you would use math and limits.

Mark Johnson
