Re: Slow Performance in Leopard

I wonder if some of these problems might just be due to Leopard's infancy.  I'm certainly experiencing loss of interactivity, freezes, slowness, and generally different behavior than what I was used to in Tiger (I'm on a 1.67Ghz Powerbook).  Maybe Leopard sucks--but I hope it's just growing pains.  Version .0 of *any* piece of software is always going to be really buggy, let alone an operating system.  We're only on version .1 now...

Can I ask what graphics card you're running?

Yes marco. I have sent messages to the list and getting no feedback regarding the same situation.

I have experienced similar situation where the frame playback drops to 4 or 6 fps, but in tiger it was running at 60fps.

I also have some comps where the interactivity inside QC becomes a frustration because I have to wait until QC decides to let me do the next move.

Also, I have noticed that inside QC I can do a "Tiger runtime" test, and then the composition seems to play more fluid, but when I am adjusting or editing the comp, it is very slow to the point that I need to restart the application and then it becomes "just a little bit faster"
