I am wondering if there are any known issues with exporting a movie
from Quartz Composer? The QC file plays fine in the viewer window on
either the main window or an external display on my MacBookPro 2.33
15" running system 10.4.11. If I export this composition as a movie,
the resulting movie plays only black frames for the duration set in
the export dialogue. There are a few custom kernel shaders in this
composition but it all behaves probably in the viewer window.
Editor -> Indicate unsafe patches. This usually happens when you're
using a patch that is declared "unsafe". You can check Console.app
for warnings if this is the case as well.
Movie/Composition players like QuickTime, Safari, and Keynote will not
fully render compositions with unsafe patches in them.
