Re: Play quartz-Composition directly via a video-card in place of via gaphic card

If you're talking about a video card like a Blackmagic or Kona, Quartz Composer won't work at all, as these cards offer no OpenGL acceleration. For video play-outs, I've used a Folsom ImagePRO-HD in the past, which converts the DVI signal coming from the graphics card to pretty much any broadcast standard. A Matrox MXO will also work I think, but I personally have no experience with it.

Julien

Hallo,
I have seen the example project "QCTV" in the developer ressources.

is this example usable for what I would like to archive?
Is it possible to play a quartz-Template directly via a video card?

Any experiences on this field or a place to start from?

Thanks a lot,

Ute
