If you don't want to write a file out patch, you could always Log() via JS.

How about a client/server protocol using the network broadcast features.
If you never shutdown your "log" machine--just "reset queue," "replay log queue"--
couldn't you accomplish this "without writing a single line of code" (or
borrowing some nice contributors plug-in?).  Would this get you around the
"output" limitations of QC? In other words, use a "never ending" process as
pseudo external storage?

Other than that, I can only think of some mechanical device, kind of like what
Thomas Jefferson invented to produce a copy of his letters :-).
