Can you try outputting the image without using the Render In Image patch (i.e. just image downloader to billboard/sprite)? Perhaps your image isn't getting loaded as you're thinking it is. It might also help to use an Image With String patch to check on the input path maybe, if this is the case.

I tried the composition, and filled in a valid image URL, and it worked as expected:



Ir works fine now, the image was loaded but the Width was set to 0, my mistake.

In fact, what bothered me at the beginning was that I could see some part of the image, and it was completely random. But once I added the Clear patch, it was clear I did something wrong because all was black.
