Add Blend Mode in Transparent QCRenderer

Is this not working as a matter of principle, or is there something that could be done in the Renderer?

I'm using vade's TransparentBorderlessQCRenderer (by the way: thanks, vade!).

In the composition it adds but then overlays to black when rendering to the screen.
I'd like to use the add blend mode for a Particle System.
